FUSION™ WPR (Wave Propagation Resistivity)

Resistivity tools measure the resistance of a formation and provides an indication of the fluid contained in the rock.

High resistivity indicates the potential for hydrocarbons while low resistivity (also referred to as high conductivity) indicates probable formation water.

The FUSION WPR tool is equipped with various electrical transmitters and receivers to provide various depths of investigation near bore and deeper into the formation. This allows for investigation of fluid properties in the formation from 21″ up to 76″ from the wellbore.

  • Real-time data transmission
  • Symmetrical design
  • Centrally located receiver antennas
  • Real-time compensation
  • Operates in all mud types
  • Additional downhole storage of high resolution data retrieved and processed as required

  • Geosteering
  • Log correlation
  • Logging while tripping
  • Air and foam drilled wells

  • Real-time compensation eliminating invasion effects due to measurement delays
  • Improved accuracy through cancellation of variations in receiver channels
