Cathedral Energy Services has a committed senior management team dedicated towards delivering an evolving high standard of service, product and culture for our customers and employees.

  • Mark Bentsen - President & CEO
    Mark Bentsen has held the position of President and CEO of Cathedral Energy Services since June 2000. Prior to that Mr. Bentsen was President of Directional Plus Ltd., predecessor to Cathedral Energy Services from 1998 to June 2000. Mr. Bentsen held the positions of Contracts Manager and Vice President of Corporate Development for Akita Drilling Ltd. from 1993 to 1998. Mr. Bentsen obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration from Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Mr. Bentsen is a director of several private and publicly traded companies.
  • Randy Pustanyk - Vice President, Operations
    Randy Pustanyk has held the position Vice President, Operations of Cathedral Energy Services since June 2000. Prior to that Mr. Pustanyk was Vice President, Operations for Directional Plus Ltd., predecessor to Cathedral Energy Services, from May 1998 to June 2000. Mr. Pustanyk holds a BSC Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Calgary, and has extensive work experience, in the directional drilling industry since 1983. Mr. Pustanyk is a professional engineer registered with APEGGA, and has participated in the design of numerous industry leading technologies with multiple patents pertaining to specialized drilling and surveying systems used world wide.
  • Scott MacFarlane - Chief Financial Officer
    Scott MacFarlane has held the position of Chief Financial Officer of Cathedral Energy Services since April 2001. Prior, Mr. MacFarlane was the Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Hanover Maloney Inc., a manufacturer of oil and gas processing equipment, from 1995 to 2001. Before joining Hanover Maloney Inc. Mr. MacFarlane was a Senior Manager with Price Waterhouse, from 1987 to 1995. Mr. MacFarlane holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan and has held a Chartered Accountant designation since 1985.
